Moderation

Acorn moderates with labels, not just deleting posts: a mark on a post or account that can add context, hide something behind a warning, or flag it for follow-up. Removal and account bans (Organization & Custom) are still there when you need them, but they're not the only thing you can do, and you set your own labels.

A queue, not an inbox

Members report content with a reason; nothing is acted on automatically, so a report is always a request for a human (you, or a moderator you trust) to decide in your Acorn dashboard.

Bring in moderators as you grow

Same queue, same tools, with a cap that rises by plan (see Pricing).

A built-in review flow for moderators

Content moderation is hard work, so we've built in tools like mental health check-ins, timing where moderators can set a time limit on their session, and a queue of cases with context (the content, the report reason, account history, existing labels), and one-keystroke actions:

Acknowledge, Escalate, Comment, Apply a label, Takedown (plus BFTV and Greenlist). Tag a teammate or mute a bad-faith reporter along the way.

See Reviewing & acting on reports for the walkthrough.

Everything logged

Every decision, who made it, when, and why, is written to your community's moderation log for accountability.

Your own labeler

The service holding your labels and decisions. Dedicated to your community on Organization/Custom plans — or your own queue running on Blacksky's infrastructure with Free/Community/Collective. Either way, the record is yours.
